Create Your Stripe Account
Create your own Stripe account and connect it to your business bank account.
This is your Stripe account. You control it.
Set Up Stripe Connect
Inside your Stripe account, set up Stripe Connect and connect Kolby.
This connection allows Stripe to automatically send Kolby its 20% share when a student purchases your AI Clone.
Kolby will confirm that the connection is working correctly before your AI Clone begins accepting student payments.
Create Your AI Clone Offer
Create your AI Clone product inside your Stripe account. You decide how you want to sell it.
Change your pricing, promotions, or offers whenever you want.
The payment happens automatically.
Your student purchases through your Stripe checkout. Stripe handles the payment split and Kolby receives the purchase notification.
Your Student Purchases
Your student uses your payment link and purchases access to your AI Clone.
The payment goes through your Stripe account.
Stripe Connect Pays Kolby
Stripe Connect automatically sends 20% of the student payment to Kolby.
The remaining 80% stays with you.
There is no monthly revenue-share check to write and no separate 20% revenue-share invoice to pay.
Kolby Is Notified
When the payment is completed, Kolby's system receives the purchase notification.
We receive the information needed to identify:
Once the purchase is confirmed, the student's AI Clone access can be activated immediately.
Kolby tracks the operating costs.
As students use your AI Clone, operating costs are created. Kolby tracks those costs for you throughout the month.
Kolby Tracks COGS
COGS are the actual operating costs generated by your students while they use your AI Clone.
These may include AI usage, calling, transcription, and other services required to operate your Clone.
You do not need to calculate this yourself.
COGS Are Settled Monthly
At the end of each month, Kolby totals the COGS generated by your students.
You are responsible for 80% of those costs. Kolby absorbs the remaining 20%.
Kolby invoices you for $800.
You control your customers.
Because your students purchase through your Stripe account, you also control refund decisions.
Refund the Student
Process the customer's refund through your own Stripe account.
Notify Kolby
Send Kolby the cancellation so we know the student should no longer have access.
Access Is Removed
Kolby removes the student's AI Clone access so they do not continue generating usage costs.
Refund reconciliation: If Kolby previously received 20% of a payment that you later refunded, Kolby's portion of that refund is owed back to you. Refunds are reconciled so both sides have a clear record of what is owed.
